NORTON, John (Jack) R., age 68 of Springfield, MO passed away at noon on May 23, 2012 in Cox South Hospital, Springfield, MO. John retired as a Yard Master with CSX. He was a member of Miami View Golf Club. After retirement, he worked part-time at Rivercut Golf Course and volunteered at Hulston Cancer Center in Springfield, MO where Jack resided since 1995. He is survived by his wife, Vickie (Combs) Norton, a sister JoAnn and husband Mike Ballinger of Cincinnati, OH, and their children, Sean, Mindy and Robin, his mother-in-law, Claudette Combs, of Springfield, MO and his sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his son, Michael Norton, and his parents, Jack and Jean Norton. Visitation at St. Clement Church, 4536 Vine St., St. Bernard, Tuesday, May 29, from 10:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial to be at St Joseph New Cemetery in Lower Price Hill.
