Alicia Esther Lang, a 20 year old Lakota West Graduate, born March 20, 1992, died March 8, 2013. Alicia is survived by Mary Kay Lang, her mother, James Charles Lang, her father, Nicholas James Lang, her brother, John and Jeanette Thomas, her maternal grandparents, and Jack and Nancy Lang, her paternal grandparents. Alicia lost her 16 year battle with cystic fibrosis on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 1:47 pm. Alicia’s friends left the room to go get something to eat, leaving Nick, her brother, and Mary Kay and Jim, her mom and dad. Jim called his mother and father (Alicia’s Myrtle Beach Grandma and Grandpa) and asked them to pray, since it was only Alicia’s family in the room. When Alicia’s Grandma and Grandpa were finished with the prayer, Alicia left us peacefully, was not alert and in no pain. We know she is now with her dog, Maria. Alicia knew her friends had left and did not want them to see her pass, so she waited until they were gone. We will be celebrating Alicia’s life by having a public viewing on Friday, March 15, 2013 from 4 to 8 pm at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati Dayton Road, Liberty Township, Ohio 45044. A traditional funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 6 pm at Vineyard Community Church Chapel, 11340 Century Circle East, Cincinnati, Ohio 45246. A celebration of Alicia’s life will follow at the gathering place next to the Chapel. Please contact Felicia Boubin or Stephanie Mueck if you can help with food or servicing by 6pm Thursday, March 14, 2013. We will put Alicia to rest on Monday, March 18, 2013 in the morning at Oak Hill Cemetery, 11200 Princeton Pike, Cincinnati, Ohio 45246. We ask that if you have pictures of Alicia, please send them to pixofalicia@gmail.com for a slide show Dave Annett is creating. Dave needs the pictures by noon on Wednesday, March 13, 2013. We will have a small container for any items smaller than a quarter you want to leave with Alicia in her honor. The family will decide if they will be placed in the casket. If you would like to help we are asking for donations in lieu of flowers or gifts to the Alicia Lang Memorial Fund available at any Fifth Third Bank. You can also send monetary gifts to Alicia Lang Memorial Fund, c/o JTHF, P.O. Box 1236, West Chester, OH 45071-1236.
