On January 14th, 2017, we said goodbye to our wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister in-law; Aljeanne Simpson.
She was born in Chicago in 1931 to Joseph and Alice Hackett. She grew up in Chicago, married her sweetheart and raised eight children in Palos Heights, Illinois.
In 1993 she relocated to West Chester, Ohio where she continued to be a loving influence in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as countless friends that have traveled through the doors on Rupp Farm Drive as well as homes in Florida.
She held court at many parties and led discussions held at the “counter” solving world problems. She will continue to be the center of our world and forever be a monumental influence in all our lives. She is loved tremendously and will be missed forever.
She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Alice Hackett, brother Donald Hackett, and her daughter, Geralynne Meyering.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Peggy and her and her children; Son- in- law, Kurt, Aljeanne (Jim), Gene Jr., Kathy (Dave), Joseph, Michael (LeeAnne), Robert, and Donna. Her grandchildren, Steven (Whittney), Erin (Michael), Meghan (Jason), Ryan, Robert, Connor (Michelle), Collin, David, Sarah, Kiley, Sean, Emma, Addison and Madeline. Her great grandchildren Nash, Ryder, Bellamy, Gunner and Baby Bean as well as her nieces and nephews, Karen, Kevin, Julie, Kitty and Joe Jr and their families. And last but not least, her constant and loving companions, Murphy and Ernie Banks. We will take comfort in the fact that we were her favorites, right behind Champagne and Tom Selleck (Blue Bloods) and her family of birds that visit daily.
