On Saturday, December 31, 2022, Amanda Wright, known by all as Nancy, passed away at age ninety-two after many years of living with Alzheimer’s. Nancy was born in Baltimore and met husband, Richard (Dick), when he was stationed there during the Korean war. A devoted mother of four, Nancy loved her family unconditionally and worked hard at her job with the postal service to provide for her family. Later in life, she enjoyed traveling around the country to visit her grandchildren.
Nancy was known for her generous and spunky spirit. She was an unwavering Bengals fan and a Rosie Red and loved laying in the sun with her family and friends at Coney Island. Nancy was a member of Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church, a two-time past president of the American Legion Auxiliary, a girl scout leader and cub scout den mother, and a member of MUSE women’s choir. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Richard (Dick) Claude Wright and son, Richard Christopher (Chris) Wright. Nancy is survived by her daughters Pam Wright (Kelly Coy), Linda Force, Amy Wright, her 9 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation at Hodapp Funeral Home 6041 Hamilton Ave., College Hill 45224 on Saturday January 7, 2023 from 10 AM until service at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Condolences at hodappfuneralhome.com
