Amy Carol Julian (Hentz) (1966–2025)
“When Amy was a child, she wished she wasn’t alone at nights, ‘everyone else has someone else in their room but me.’ I think God intervened when he heard that wish and gave her a little sister.”- Irma Hentz. From then on Amy wanted to make sure no one felt that loneliness. Throughout her life, she remained close with family and friends.
Amy Carol Julian, 58, of Cincinnati, OH died in home hospice care on January 4, 2025.
She was born in Good Samaritan Hospital in 1966 to John and Irma Hentz. Amy has an eldest brother, Mike Hentz, a younger brother, Tim Hentz, and a youngest sister Jenny Licata (Hentz). Amy had a soft spot for their furry friends, treating each and every one like the valuable family member they were. Growing up she was close with her siblings and their friends and met her first husband Joe Willis. Amy and Joe were practically inseparable throughout their lives. From middle school to master's programs, they were together through it all. After marriage, they had their daughter, Taylor Willis. Amy met the love of her life, Alan Julian on May 28, 2011, at Spring House Memorial Day weekend. Bonded over their shared love of travels they went on many adventures. One of Amy’s favorite trips was their snowy ski travels to Colorado. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married in a snowstorm on February 15, 2014.
Amy was Valedictorian of her class at Northwest High School before studying Information Systems at Xavier University. She went on to work at Convergys Corp while earning her master's degree in business administration. She dedicated her career to developing information systems, leading to her recent title as Director of Program Management for First Financial Bank.
“I couldn’t have asked for a stronger/better parent or role model and will miss my mother every day. Her determination to be the best person she could be was inspiring to all. She was a natural leader, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.” - Taylor Willis
Amy was preceded in death by John Hentz and Barbra Wolfram and is survived by Irma Hentz, Mike Hentz, Tim Hentz, Jenny Licata, Alan Julian, and Taylor Willis.
