Anna Louise (Winters) King passed away unexpectedly on February 8, 2017, nearly three weeks following the death of her husband, Lance Samuel King. She was born on June 13, 1953 in Parkersburg, WV to Richard and Barbara Winters. Loving and devoted mother to Barbie (Douglas) Falor and Lana (Craig) Akers. Cherished grandmother of Avery, Morgan, Quinn (Falor) and Addyson and Owen (Akers). Sister to Tom (Kelly) Winters, Sandra McDonough, Jamie Winters, and Dan (Nicole) Winters. Preceded in death by her husband, father, and brother, Michael Winters. Graduate of Parkersburg High School and Alderson Broaddus University in West Virginia. Anna was a nurse at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for 32 years and had a true passion for serving others. While she touched the lives of many patients, she was equally appreciated and adored by the parents and staff who worked with her. She received immense satisfaction in helping others succeed, especially the residents who counted on her for knowledge, advice, hugs and, of course, chocolate. Although Anna was extremely proud to be a nurse, her most rewarding role in life was being an extraordinary mother to her daughters and an exceptional “Mimi” to her grandchildren. She never passed up an opportunity to spend time with her 5 little loves or go shopping with her 2 favorite girls. Family was her true passion and she was beyond proud, to say the least. Anna loved fiercely, without reservation, and always put others before herself. She was a true inspiration to so many and her fingerprints will never fade from the lives she touched. Memorial visitation and service will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati-Dayton Rd., Liberty Township, OH, 45044. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. and the service will start at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Neurology Department at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
