Annita E. Davisson

Annita Edna Johnson Davisson, aged 76, of West Chester, Ohio passed January 19, 2015 after a brief battle with lung cancer. Annita was born July 13, 1938 in Grafton, West Virginia. She was one of four children, born to Charles Homer Johnson and Edna B. Goff Johnson. Annita was a 1957 graduate of Washington Irving High School in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Annita was preceded in death by her parents, and Charles Johnson (brother), Virginia Hewitt (sister), Lynne Prince (niece), Vana Moore (niece). Although born in West Virginia, Annita moved to Ohio in 1967 and created a family of close friends and colleagues. She was employed for many years by Merrell Dow, and most recently by Walgreens. Annita enjoyed traveling with her Red Hat ladies, spending time with family and friends, and the theater. Annita’s smile and her determined spirit were noted and relied upon by many. As a single-mother of two sons, she never faced a challenge she couldn’t overcome. Her family and friends are left remembering and rejoicing in the life of this beautiful woman. Annita is survived by James Clifford and Joyce Johnson (brother), Paul and Kelly Davisson (son) and their children Wyatt and Lily, Tim and Katie Davisson (son) and their children, Creed, Emma, Alex, and Jamie. Visitation and funeral will be held Friday, January 23rd at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cin-Columbus Road, West Chester, Ohio 45069. Family visitation will be held from 10:30-11:00am. Public visitation will be held from 11:00-12:00, followed by a graveside funeral at Rose Hill Cemetery, 171 S. Mason Montgomery Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.
