It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony “Tony” Wiwi, who left this world on February 9, 2025. A beloved son, brother, uncle, great-uncle, and friend, Tony touched the lives of many with his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family.
Born on August 7, 1971 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Tony grew up with a passion of woodworking, hunting, fishing and helping others. He was known for his dedication to his work as a skilled craftsman and for always being the person others could count on for support and laughter.
Tony’s greatest joy in life was his family. He is survived by his mother, Barbara (William) Gilman; father, Lawrence James “Jim” Wiwi, Sr.; sister, Jennifer “Jeni” (John) D’Imperio; half-brothers, Lawrence James “Larry” Wiwi, Jr. and Jay (Josetta) Wiwi; nieces, Kelsey (Drew) Robbins, Sydney Hilderbran, Shay (Davey) Allen and Amber Wiwi; nephews Trace Hilderbran and Lawrence Jay “Little Jay” Wiwi; great-nieces, Kennedy, Kylah, Elizabyth, Joselyn and Lorelai; great nephew Cylus, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfred and Rita Besl, Sylvester and Joan Wiwi.
A celebration of Tony’s life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6041 Hamilton Ave., College Hill 45224 from 10 AM until service at 12 noon. Family and friends are invited to gather and share stories, laughter, and love in remembrance of a truly special soul.
Tony’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved.
