WARD, Ashley F., Jr. died peacefully, in his sleep, on May 8, 2013. Age 90. Ashley F. Ward Jr. was born on March 17, 1923 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Beloved husband to Lucy Mathers Ward. Beloved father to Ashley F. Ward III, William H. Ward (Nancy), Sarah S. Ward, and Lucy L. Ward. Beloved father-in-law to Nancy B. Ward. Beloved grandfather to Ashley F. Ward IV, Elizabeth C. Ward, William H. Ward, Jr., Hayley C. Ward, Anne E. Ward, Taylor Ward Shell, and Kelsey Ward Shell. Beloved great grandfather to Aidan J. H. Ward. He will be greatly missed by all. Ashley F. Ward, Jr. attended Hughes High School and the University of Cincinnati. And, Ashley served in the Army Air Force during World War II. Ashley F. Ward dearly loved his family, but his second love was business. Ashley F. Ward was a life long entrepreneur. Ashley F. Ward started, owned, or managed Nimrod Products, Co., Ward Mfg. co., Ashley Ward, Inc. , Wayfarer Motor Home Co., Carthage Mills, Inc., Diamond Coach Co., SETV, Inc. and Springlawn, Inc. of Ohio. Ashley F. Ward served on the Board of Directors for the Union Central Life Insurance Co., the Central Trust Bank, and The Christ Hospital. Ashley F. Ward was a member of the Young Presidents Organization, World Presidents Organization, Chief Executives Organization, Cincinnati Country Club, Wyoming Golf Club, Queen City Club, and the Wyoming Presbyterian Church. Services will be with family only, and private. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held at sometime in the future. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Cancer Support Community, Crayons to Computers, or to the charity of one’s choice.
