In Loving Memory of Axie Brackett

Axie Brackett passed away peacefully on June 3, 2024, at the age of 90. She was surrounded by her loved ones during her final moments.

Born on October 17, 1933, in Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter of Otis and Gertie (McAninch) Brackett.

Axie is survived by her 2 siblings, Nelson (JoAnn) Brackett, of Green Twp. Ohio, and Eldena (James) Wilder, of Cincinnati Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. Her family was her greatest joy, and she leaves behind cherished memories that will be treasured for generations to come.

She is preceded in death by her parents Otis and Gertie Brackett, beloved brothers Everett Brackett, and Charles (Janet) Brackett, beloved Sisters Gail (Keith) Saunders, Deva Evans (Brackett), and Elaine (Donald) Heuer. 

A visitation and interment to celebrate Axie’s life will be held for family and friends on Friday June 7, 2024, from 10:00 -12:00 pm at Hodapps Funeral Home, in Carthage located at 7401 Vine Street. Cincinnati, Ohio 45216. Burial to follow at Oak Hills Cemetery, located at 11200 Princeton Pike Cincinnati, Ohio 45246.  

Axie will forever be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the positive impact she made on the lives of those around her. She has left an indelible mark on the hearts of many and will be greatly missed.

May she rest in peace, knowing her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
