TO LOVE FIERCELY EVANS, Barbara Hemphill, graduate of Taylor High School and University of Cincinnati, College of Nursing and Health. Married for 55 years to J.C. Evans of Norwood. Loved by all as the All-American wife, mother and friend. Former resident of Madeira, Amberley Village, Mason and Cocoa Beach, Florida. Lifelong active member of Kappa Delta Sorority, former president of Madeira – Montgomery Welcome Wagon, founding parent and booster of many swim clubs including Bel-Wood, Blue Ash “Y†Blue Dolphins and Cincinnati Pepsi Marlins. Active PTA member at Losantiville Elementary School, Reading High School, St. Xavier High School, Seven Hills High School, and St. Ursula Academy. Excellent nurse and member of Sycamore Presbyterian Church. Lived a life of grace, generosity, energy and devotion. Survivors include J.C. Evans, beloved and loving husband. Children: John Evans (Sue), Doug Evans (Amber), Leigh Gibson (Jim) and Suzi Lipps (Dennis). Nine grandchildren: Kayla Lupidi (John), Lindsey, Dani, Emily and Max Evans, Rachel and Jay Gibson and Tyler and Elizabeth (1999) Lipps.
