Mertz, Bernard R. Beloved husband of Penny R. Mertz (nee Rauch). Loving father of Jennifer (Scott) Coughlin, Christopher (Kelly) Mertz and Julie (Jeff) Geyer. Dear brother of Vicki (Larry) Belt and Linda Mertz. Cherished grandfather of Alec, Taylor, Mackenzie and Ethan Coughlin, Zachary and Andrew Mertz, Emma and Jackson Geyer. Passed away July 23, 2012. Age 74. Bernie worked in the HVAC industry for over 37 years. Service to be held Friday, July 27, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd. (Rt. 42), West Chester, OH 45069. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Assoc., Greater Cincinnati Chapter, 644 Linn St., Suite 1026, Cincinnati, OH 45203.
