WATSON, Bertha (nee Spencer). Daughter of the late Corda and Cora Spencer. Beloved wife of Denton Watson for 59 years. Loving mother of Linda (Dewayne) Vaught, Michael (Sherry) Wright, and Pamela (the late James) Miller. Grandmother of Kim Vaught, Kelly (Keith) Krabbe, Colette (Jamie) Mayton, Jimmy (Paige) Miller, Michael Wright Jr., Janie (Josh) Needham, Aaron (Mercy) Vaught, and Jodie (Tommy) Andrews. Great-grandmother of Brandon, Allie, Elizabeth, Justin, Dylan, Kaylee, Trevor, Case, Karley, Joshua, Layla, and Maci. Also survived by numerous great-great grandchildren. Sister of the late Gladys Victory. Bertha is survived by several brothers-and-sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Bert retired from GE where she worked many years as a union stewardist. She loved spending time with her family, grandkids and husband, Jr.  She loved the color purple. She also enjoyed canning, cooking and gardening. No one in the family ever went hungry when Bert was around. In her spare time she enjoyed playing on her Nintendo DS, shopping, visits to Florida, attending church and taking long unplanned car rides with the love of her life, Jr. She was an extraordinary woman, our “Queen”, and was loved and valued by many and will be deeply missed.  Passed away February 4, 2019 at the age of 90. Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd. (Rt. 42), West Chester, OH 45069 on Friday, February 8, 2019, from 5-7 p.m. Funeral service at the funeral home on Saturday at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
