HOSEK, Betty L. (nee Crutcher).Loving wife of the late Ivan L. Hosek. Beloved mother of Beverly (Ron) Forbes, Janice (Rick) Wilkes, Eric A. (Dani) Hosek and Gayle (Tim) Betsch. Cherished grandmother of Derek, Beth, Barbara, Lindsey, Arin and Shelley. Devoted great-grandmother of Shawn, Adam, Bettie, Karalee, Emma, Logan and Clara. Dear sister of Anna Goodwin and William Moorman. Betty was born in Louisa, KY on November 2, 1927. She moved with her family in her early teens to Cincinnati, OH. After she graduated from Woodward Commercial High School, with honors in secretarial studies, she worked for the Veteran's Administration in Clifton, OH for four years.  She excelled in her position and could type 100 words a minute. She married Ivan Laverne on May 2, 1947 and they shared almost 50 years before he passed on February 23, 1997.  Betty had four children to whom she adored and blessed with love, parental guidance and values.  Her motto was to "do the right thing".  She attended the Sharonville Methodist Church over 50 years. She relished being a homemaker, was a great cook, and loved being involved in her children's education. She never stopped loving unconditionally her children and grandchildren. She loved western movies, particularly John Wayne. She will always be in our hearts and thoughts. Betty passed away October 21, 2016. Age 88. Visitation will take place at the Hodapp Funeral Home 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd., (Rt.42), West Chester, Friday from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Service will take place Saturday at 10am at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati. Condolences to hodappfuneralhome.com
