Betty Reichgott passed away peacefully at the age of 100 on February 20, 2017 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the widow of George Reichgott and is survived by her daughter, Susan Robinson, her son, David Reichgott, her six grandchildren, Mary, Sarah, Amy, Heather, Beth and Aaron and their spouses and children, as well as a loyal group of relatives and friends who were lucky enough to know her. She was a pioneering woman executive with Macy's in New York, beginning in the late 1930s. She completed her career as the placement director at Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School. In retirement, Betty volunteered with the Girl Scouts, the Sierra Club and other organizations. She also traveled the world before entering what she called her "gypsy" years - setting out in her beloved Honda CRV with her pup tent to explore the parks of the US and Canada, sometimes alone and sometimes with a companion. In recent years, she was a resident of Ohio Living Llanfair where she appreciated the friendship and care that she received. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Girl Scouts and Sierra Club.
