Betty S. Shadley, 92, of Wyoming, OH passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 29, 2017, surrounded by her family. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family and her faith. She enjoyed 57 years of a joyous marriage to her predeceased husband, Fritz. She is survived by Anne (John) Sedlacek, Joan (Jerry) Epping, Fritz X. (Annie) Shadley, Betsy (Mike) Bernard and John C. Shadley (who cared for her through a long struggle with dementia). Her legacy also includes 22 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Betty was an active member of St. Bartholomew Parish having served in multiple ministries over 50 years. Betty also hosted a weekly prayer group in her home for over 25 years with many friends and neighbors. In addition, she was an engaged citizen and student of current events and an accomplished hostess entertaining family and friends graciously for any occasion. She was a passionate fan of Notre Dame, Xavier University and any team in which her children and grandchildren participated. This very loving, gentle and sweet lady will be greatly missed.
