In Loving Memory of Bonita Sue Hannah October 9, 1954 – April 12, 2025

Bonita Sue Hannah, affectionately known as Bonnie, was born on October 9, 1954, at Maple Knoll Hospital in Glendale, Ohio. A lifelong resident of West Chester, Bonnie was a proud graduate of Lakota High School, where she remarkably maintained perfect attendance for all 13 years of her schooling—an early sign of her reliability and dedication that would define her life.

Bonnie passed away peacefully in her home in Mason, Ohio

Bonnie is lovingly survived by her sisters Stella Dooley (Hannah), Beejay Draffen (Hannah), and Darlene Smith (Hannah); her brother Steven Hannah; and brother-in-law Perry Pickering. She also leaves behind grandsons Garrett Sheehan (and wife Becca) and Bryant Sheehan, along with three adoring great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Daisy and Delilah. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Margaret and Raymond Hannah Sr.; her sister Mary Pickering (Hannah); her brother Raymond Hannah Jr.; her brother-in-law James Carl Dooley; husband Daniel Garrett and her daughter Danielle Sheehan.

She is remembered with deep affection by countless nieces, nephews, and extended family members—so numerous they cannot all be named, but each held a special place in her heart.

Bonnie was the heart and soul of every family gathering. Known for her warm spirit and boundless generosity, she delighted in making others feel special. She was especially beloved by three generations of nieces and nephews, who remember her as the ultimate aunt—kind, fun, and endlessly thoughtful. Bonnie had a special gift for turning ordinary moments into magical memories. Whether it was taking the kids to the movies, indulging them with donuts and toys, or orchestrating spontaneous trips to the zoo, she lived to make others happy.

Each Christmas Eve, she transformed into Mrs. Claus, passing out presents with joy and always bringing extras—just in case another child appeared. No one was ever left out. If you lived far away, Bonnie would still find a way to stay close through cheerful cards, surprise gifts, and constant love. She never forgot a birthday, a milestone, or a moment to bring someone joy.

Bonnie’s passions included collecting owls, porcelain dolls, and angels—each a reflection of her whimsical, nurturing nature. But her greatest joy was always her family. She treasured home-cooked meals, especially holiday gatherings, and could often be found enjoying breakfast at Perkins or Bob Evans, surrounded by the people she loved most.

Bonnie had a smile that could light up a room and a heart big enough to hold the entire family. She was the kind of person who brought laughter, comfort, and kindness wherever she went. She gave endlessly, loved deeply, and lived fully.

She leaves behind a legacy of joy, selflessness, and unconditional love. Bonnie was truly one of a kind—our beloved sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed beyond measure but remembered with gratitude and love for the countless lives she touched.

Rest in peace, Bonnie. Thank you for being the light in our lives. We will carry your love with us always.
