Carl J. Wamsley

WAMSLEY, Carl J. Loving husband of Leslie J. Wamsley (nee Garland) for 45 years. Devoted father to Sherri E. Wamsley, Michelle R. Young (Scott), Mark J. Wamsley (Kristin) and proud Papa of grandchildren Caitlin and Noah Wamsley and Trent Young. Jay began his career at Steelcraft where he spent 23 years. He started out as a draftsman and was eventually managing three departments. He left to start Wamsley Sales Company where he was a Manufacturer’s Representative for Kewanee Doors and Frames until his retirement. Jay enjoyed watching his favorite sports...The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Bengals, and professional golf. He also had a passion for working outdoors on their lawn and landscaping. But above all, he loved spending time with his family. Jay passed away suddenly on June 22, 2016. Visitation will take place at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd. (Rt. 42), West Chester on Sunday, June 26 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Funeral Services will take place at Faith Community United Methodist Church, 8230 Cox Rd., West Chester on Monday, June 27 at 11 a.m. A memorial fund has been established in Jay’s name at Faith Community United Methodist Church.
