Carl W. Weisgerber

WEISGERBER, Carl W., beloved husband of the late Ida Mae Weisgerber for 65 great years. Loving father of Richard (Marie) Weisgerber, Marilyn (Donnie) Massey, Gerry (Sallie) Weisgerber , and Mary (Michael) Blubaugh. Dear grandfather of Michael Weisgerber, Kristina Weisgerber, Leigh Massey, Jennifer Gobrail, Katie Lacon, Megan Ross, Nicole Griffin, Steven Blubaugh and Michelle Jones. Great Grandfather of eight great grandchildren. Brother of Rose Marie Bighouse. Carl is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by sisters Helen Van Heyde, Margaret Endres, Mary Lou Kordes, and Ruth Weisgerber.

Carl was a World War II veteran and served 28 months overseas in the United States Army. He retired from Lazarus advertising department in Columbus, Ohio as an Art Director. He was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Columbus, Ohio for many years prior to moving to West Chester, Ohio. He was a contributor of art work and a weekly cartoon for the Columbus Catholic Times for over 30 years. Carl was a true family man and his enormous artistic talent and sense of humor brought joy to so many.

Carl went to be with the Lord on January 14, 2016 at the age of 93. Family will be receiving friends Wednesday (1/20) at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 9080 Cincinnati Dayton Rd., West Chester, OH 45069, from 9:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM.
