Carlisle "Carl" Keith

January 12, 1941 — February 23, 2025

Carlisle (Carl) Keith, following a lengthy illness, departed this earthly life on Sunday, February 23, 2025, and was welcomed into his eternal home in Glory.

Carl was born January 12, 1941, in Cincinnati, OH, to Hazel Creek and Robert Haynes Keith. He spent most of his childhood in the Guilford, IN area and Fairfield, OH. Carl was a 1959 graduate of Fairfield High School. He lived in Fairfield and worked in the Cincinnati area as a purchasing agent for many years.

November 5, 1994, Carl met his future wife, Jacque, on a blind date. After a couple of years of dating, they married March 22, 1997, at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Fairfield, OH.

Carl enjoyed woodworking, camping, bike riding, spending time out of doors, visiting the beach and trying new adventures. Some of these new adventures included snorkeling, parasailing, hot air ballooning over the Australian outback and jet skiing. He and Jacque enjoyed seeing new places and Carl always found beauty in God’s creation wherever their travels took them. His attitude about life was summed up in one of his favorite sayings, “growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional!”

Spending time with family was important to Carl. Whenever possible, he attended his grandchildren’s sports games and dance recitals in their younger years, and was proud of all of their accomplishments. Carl was active in Bethany Church volunteering wherever he was needed and co-teaching an adult Sunday School class for 20 years. He enjoyed both reading and studying scripture, especially the Old Testament. Carl traveled with mission trip groups for several years to Red Bird Mission in rural eastern Kentucky. He truly had a compassionate heart and loved the people of the area. Carl always felt he was blessed beyond measure in serving others. He loved sharing Jesus through his actions.

Carl is survived by his wife, and best friend, Jacque of 27 years. He leaves one son, Dan (Kim) Keith, and 2 grandchildren Alex and Emily Keith. One stepdaughter, Rebecca Peel, and 2 step grandchildren James and Angela Peel, brothers RL Keith and Horace Keith, as well as, several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Carl was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy of 27 years, sisters, Imogene Cox and Irene Weber, and a brother, Harold (Donna) Keith.

Carl’s gentle spirit and love of life will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him.

Memorial donations appreciated to: Matthew 25 Ministries, 11060 Kenwood Rd., Blue Ash, OH 45242 or Red Bird Mission, 70 Queendale Center, Beverly, KY 40913
