Carol Ann Hensey ( nee Hochstrasser )

Carol Ann (Hochstrasser) Hensey, of Maineville, OH passed away September 15, 2018 at age 82. Born in Cincinnati, OH to Alvin and Helen (Furst) Hochstrasser. Devoted wife of the late Melville Hensey, III. Loving sister to John Hochstrasser (Wilma) and sister-in-law to Megan Bowen (Don).  Beloved mother of Mel IV (Mary), Terence (Bonnie), Christopher (Peg Chandler), and Anna Somboretz (David). Loving grandmother "Gram" to Sarah Campbell (Chris), Sean (Amanda), Katherine (Adam Ramey), John, Ian, and Molly (Jonathon Dorofy) Hensey; and great-grandmother to Nolan, Aidan, Dylan, Gus, Melanie, and Charlie. Carol earned her nursing degree in 1979 from the University of Cincinnati. She founded Hensey Associates with her husband in 1974, a nationally-regarded management consulting firm. Carol was an enthusiastic leader, teacher, and volunteer for Little Miami Conservancy, the Girl Scouts, and Northminster Presbyterian Church. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Carol enjoyed canoeing, biking, square dancing, and creating textile art.  A graveside service will be held at Noon on Thursday, September 20, at Arlington Memorial Gardens (2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231). All should meet at Arlington’s family gathering space. A life celebration and luncheon will follow at Northminster Presbyterian Church in Finneytown (703 Compton Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45231).
