SEMPSROTT, Charles J. Beloved husband of Elaine Sempsrott (nee Diemer) for 57 ½ years. Loving father of Brian (Cam) Sempsrott and Mark (Robin) Sempsrott. Cherished grandfather of Joshua, Zachary, Nicholas, Nathan, Christian, Amanda, Hayden and great-grandfather of 4. Dear brother of June (Frank) Trainer, Linda Dincler, Amy Redmond, Helen (Harry) Knecht and Bill (Donna) Sempsrott and the late Ronnie Sempsrott. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Passed away March 21, 2016. Age 83 years. Graduate of Sharonville High School, Charles served in the Navy during the Korean War, was a pipefitter and owner of an HVAC business for 25 years. Enjoyed playing sports in his younger days and was the coach of many youth baseball teams at PYO. He participated in many scouting activities with his sons. He enjoyed building things and working with tools and working with his tractor in Vevay, Indiana. He enjoyed music, playing guitar, was a good whistler and also sang for many years in the church choir. He was a charter member of Crestview Presbyterian Church and had also been a Deacon and Elder for the church and was on several building committees. He was in VFW post #7696 and held the post of Commander in 2005 and 2006 and was also a member of the Color Guard. Belonged to the Masonic Lodge #678 and to Odd Fellows Lodge #15. In his retirement he enjoyed playing golf, the stock market, his grandchildren, and traveling with his wife and longtime friends. Visitation will take place at the Hodapp Funeral Home 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd., (Rt.42), West Chester, Friday from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Service will take place at Crestview Presbyterian Church 9463 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd., West Chester, Saturday at 10am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the church.
