MARKER, Charles H. also known as “Skeeter†59 years old. Born June 6, 1953 in Butler County, Ohio. Son of the late Charles A. Marker and late Minnie L. Willeford. He was also preceded in death by his friends and in-laws, Edward and Irene Lanter. Died suddenly Saturday, October 27, 2012 at his home in Mason, Ohio. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 37 years, Linda K. Marker (nee Lanter), son Charles Wayne, and daughter Anna Janell (Aaron) Ausman. He is also survived by five cherished grand-buddies, Archer, Grace, Aiden, Arion, and Avery; three brothers, Al of Donnelsville, Ohio; Brian Jay (Vicki) of California and Raymond of Texas as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and brothers-and-sisters-in-law. He was so loved and respected by many. He retired from the City of Mason in 2006 after 30 years, receiving the key to the city and a day honoring his work which he took great pride in. He was a leader, a teacher and someone who cared about his family and community. He served in the United Stated Army for three years in the Army Security Agency. He loved gardening, railroading, woodworking, and motorcycling, as well as many other hobbies he and his wife did together. His family was everything to him. Visitation will take place at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati Columbus Rd. (Rt. 42), West Chester, Ohio, Thursday, November 1, 2012. at 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:30 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Hodapp Funeral Home to help family defray funeral costs.
