Charlotte "Judy" Cowan (née Elliott), 80, of Milford, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Elza and Helen Elliott, Judy was a cherished wife, devoted mother, and treasured friend to many.
Judy will be fondly remembered as a nurturing mother and a 'neighborhood mom', whose home was always open, filled with warmth and creativity. Her passions for art and gardening were evident in the countless hours she spent creating beautiful items and spaces, generously sharing her talents by teaching her children and their friends to paint, sew, macramé, and explore many other creative pursuits.
In addition to her creative passions, Judy was an active participant in a variety of social and charitable endeavors throughout her life, including gardening clubs and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her loving children, Adam Cowan (Lori), Andrea Patrick (Terry), Amanda Blevins (Bob), and Aaron Cowan (Meradith); her 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Judy was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 62 years, Bosh Charles “Chuck” Cowan; her children, Patrick and Jeanette Cowan; her sister, Mary Clark; and her brother, Alton Elliott.
The family will honor Judy's memory with a private memorial service in Pensacola, Florida, a place filled with special memories she shared with Chuck.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Judy's memory to Shriner's Hospital for Children or the Alzheimer's Association, causes that were especially meaningful to her.
Judy’s vibrant spirit, her gift for creating beauty in everything, and her steadfast love for her family will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
