Cheryl Cartwright

Cartwright, Cheryl Ann (nee Noffsinger), 55, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on July 30, 2021 from complications of brain cancer. Born July 18, 1966, in Lexington, Kentucky, to Trudy and Wayne Noffsinger. Cheri married Douglas Cartwright of Sidney, Ohio on September 21, 1991 and they have lived in Cincinnati since 1996. Cheri and Doug have two adult children, Ryan Cartwright now serving in the Marines and Jared Cartwright of Nashville, TN.
In 1984, Cheri graduated from Piqua High School and from the University of Cincinnati in 1988 with a Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Photography. She was a Girl Scout for 12 years and achieved both the First Class rank and the Gold Award as a senior scout. She volunteered with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts while her boys were participating.
Cheri worked in the Insurance Industry from 1992 to 2020, with the last 20 years at Anthem in Mason, Ohio. Her hobbies were crocheting, jewelry making and scrapbooking among other creative outlets. As a mom she enjoyed paying online games with her two sons. Cheri played the flute beginning in elementary school and into college and learned to play the bagpipes later in life.
She was preceded in death by her Father Wayne Noffsinger. Cheri is survived by her husband Doug, sons Ryan and Jared, mother Trudy Noffsinger, sister Kathryn Roosa, and nephew Adam Roosa. Visitation will be held Friday, August 6, 2021, at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati Dayton Rd., Liberty Twp., OH 45044, from 12 Noon until time of funeral service at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
