Christopher "Chris" N. Lippert, D.D.S.

April 17, 1952 — September 3, 2015

Christopher “Chris” N. Lippert, D.D.S. passed away Thursday, September 3, 2015 in Wyoming, Ohio at the age of 63. Chris was a beloved father, caring brother and uncle, adored fiancé, and respected dentist. He deeply loved his family. His greatest loves beyond his immediate family were his devoted staff and longtime patients. Chris was charming, sweet, kind, and caring. Dr. Lippert was a brilliant and creative dentist, with a successful practice in Cincinnati. He took great fulfillment from patient care and teaching across his 36 years in the field. In 1979 he joined the practice of John W. Regenos, D.D.S. and became an associate professor at the Ohio State University, teaching an advanced training course in full mouth rehabilitation and restoration. Dr. Lippert was a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Cincinnati Dental Society (also a peer reviewer), and American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics. He was regularly recognized for his commitment and dedication to quality patient care by several sources, including America’s Top Dentist, Who’s Who in America, Cincinnati Magazine’s Top Dentist of Cincinnati (a distinction chosen by peers), and Angie’s List Super Service Award. Chris was known by many for his incredible work ethic and boundless energy. He took pride in his personal fitness and had an enthusiasm for restoring vintage luxury vehicles. Through his passion for landscape architecture, he always had artistic, beautiful, and well-manicured gardens around his home. Chris enjoyed sailing and fishing in the blue waters of the Caribbean, was a talented cook, and loved animals. Over the years, it was not unusual to find a myriad of unique pets in the Lippert household including peacocks, iguanas, chinchillas, snakes, and his preferred dog breed: the Great Dane. Son of the late Dr. Raymond J. and Shirley (Nelson) Lippert, Chris graduated from Wyoming High School and attained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Cincinnati. He earned his D.D.S. degree from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. During his undergraduate years he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, and while at Emory he was a member of Psi Omega fraternity. Chris is survived by his daughter, Aubrey Lippert; son, Christopher Lippert; brother, Gregory (Elizabeth) Lippert; brother, Jeffrey Lippert; niece, Nicole Overland; niece, Sarah Hughes; nephew, Peter Lippert; several great nieces and nephews; and fiancé, Susan Richey. Chris was loved and will be greatly missed.
