Clare Otto (nee Meinerding) passed peacefully December 21, 2021.
A woman of faith, Clare spent her life devoted to the care of others - her children, grandchildren, family, friends, and community. Clare and her late husband Larry will be remembered for not only their fierce generosity but for their debates on the proper setting for a thermostat. Warm and dignified, Clare valued time with her family and any opportunity to help solve a problem. Clare loved to jitterbug at a moment's notice, clean things to make them new again, and her generosity toward strangers will forever be admired.
She is survived by her grateful children: son Matt (wife Angie), daughter Toni (husband Matt) Alander, son Joe (wife Julia), and daughter Liz (wife Jenn) Otto-Fagan. And grandchildren, Will, Ed, Jayden, Abby, Clare, Donovan, and Ruth.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Boniface Church 1750 Chase Ave., Northside, Tuesday, December 28th at 10AM.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her name to the charitable organization of your choice.
