Daisy Schmitz

Daisy Alice Schmitz, nee Brown, aged 90, passed away peacefully and comfortably at her home in Texas on Friday, March 8, 2024.  Daisy was born on May 25, 1933, in Crab Orchard, Kentucky.  She is survived by three siblings, Oscar Brown (wife JoAnn Brown), Diann Norton and Beverly Rawlings.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as her one daughter, Lori Kay Hummeldorf (nee Schmitz), her son-in-law Paul Hummeldorf and three grandchildren that she adored: Ella Liana, William Carter and Henry Paul Hummeldorf.  She retired from Ford Motor Company and spent most of her life dedicated to her family and church.  She was a strongly independent person who was also generous to family and friends.  She will be missed dearly but is now in a better place with her parents (May Etta and Brad Brown) and beloved husband of over 60 years Harold Ray Schmitz.  Visitation will be at Hodapp Funeral Home in West Chester, 8815 Cincinnati Columbus Rd, on Monday evening, March 18, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 10:00 am at Hodapp with burial immediately following at Rest Haven Cemetery.
