Dale R. Nichols

NICHOLS, Dale R. Beloved husband of Virginia L. Nichols (nee Dolen) for 57 years. Dear brother of Bobbie (Karen) Nichols of White Hall, IL and William (Kay) Nichols of Jacksonville, IL, Doris (the late John) Friend of Kankakee, IL, Alice (Albert) Holman of Grand Forks, ND and the late Eugene and Wayne Nichols and Anita Hubbard. Proceeded in death by his parents Roy and Mable Nichols. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Dale served in the U.S. Navy for 9 ½ years participating in the D Day Invasion and Korean Conflict. He was also a member of the Norwood Winton Carthage Masonic Lodge 576, the Shriners, the Ancient Acceptance of the Scottish Rite and the Royal Arch. He worked for CSX for 30 years and was a member of the Faith Community Methodist Church in West Chester. Passed away June 9, 2013. Age 88. Visitation will take place at the Hodapp Funeral Home 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd., (Rt. 42) West Chester, Tuesday from 5PM until 7PM with Masonic and Scottish Rite Services following immediately after. Graveside Service will be held in Illinois on Friday, June 14, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati or to Shriners Hospital.
