Sr. Daniel Marie Meade, SFP

MEADE, Sr. Daniel Marie, SFP (nee Monica Mary), our beloved Sister, passed to eternal life on November 1, at age of 93. She lived a life dedicated to God and God's people for 66 years as a Franciscan Sister of the Poor. She ministered as a Laboratory Director in several Congregational sponsored hospitals, however her heart was given to being a missionary for 40 years to the people of Brazil, particularly those in greatest need. She is survived by her Sisters in Christ, the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor, and her numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Lucy (Ledwell) and Anthony Meade, Sr. and her siblings: Bridget (Thomas) King, Mary (Adelphus) Leroux, Anthony Meade, Jr., Patrick Meade and Stephen Meade. Visitation at St. Clare Chapel, 60 Compton Road, Hartwell on Monday, November 6 beginning with a Wake Service at 9:00 am until the Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Interment in the St. Clare Cemetery will follow the Liturgy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Franciscan Ministries, Inc., 100 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45215.
