David C. Douglas

David C. Douglas passed away peacefully May 10, 2015, surrounded by family after a long illness. He is survived by Rosemary (Campbell), his wife of 48 years, and sons Neil (Marla) and Ian (Kathryn). He has 2 brothers, Neil and George, and many extended family still in Scotland.Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1943, David earned an Engineering degree from Glasgow University in 1964. He married Rosemary in 1966 and they moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1968. During a 35 year career with General Electric in Evendale, Ohio he received a Master's Degree from the University of Cincinnati and several patents for inventions and achievement awards from the company.

David enjoyed photography, flying gliders, and was passionate about history and playing bridge. He retired in 2003 and added volunteer work for talking books, a service to aid the visually impaired enjoy books on tape, to share his love of reading.

He was a man of few words, high integrity, and intelligence. He was loved and cherished will be missed dearly.
