David Brian Gregory, 66, passed away unexpectedly on August 18, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Pineault) Gregory for 43 years. He was the devoted father of Jason David Gregory (Megan), Jillian Powell (Michael), and Stephanie Gregory; and dear Papa to Madeline, Maren, and Graham. Son of the late John and Dorothy Gregory. Son-in-law of the late Edward and Gloria Pineault. Brother of Bruce, Derek (Elizabeth), Kevin (Patricia), and Keith (Deborah) Gregory. Brother-in-law of Nancy Miner (Terry), Michael Pineault (Sue), the late John Pineault, Carol Flaherty (the late Bryan), Dennis Pineault (Susan), Peter Pineault, Sharon Pineault, Ted Pineault, and David Pineault (Stephanie). Dave was cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and wonderful friends.
After growing up in Swampscott, MA, he was a graduate of Swampscott High School class of 1973 and attended Bentley College. Following 36-years in Massachusetts, Dave and his family moved to West Chester, OH where they spent over 20 years together before transitioning to Naples, FL and Alexandria, KY.
Dave was a trusted mentor to many and was generous with his time and expertise. He was the go-to person who had a revered depth of knowledge on nearly any topic. Dave retired as the Chief Information Officer of Global Engineering at Trane; he then volunteered with organizations such as SCORE and served as President of residential homeowners’ associations in both West Chester and Naples
Recreationally, Dave had a love for travel. He traveled the world during his career with GE Aircraft Engines and Trane, while also taking his family along whenever he could. He enjoyed skiing in the Colorado mountains and walking white, sandy beaches with his wife and family. Dave loved the adventure of off-roading and enjoyed attending many Camp Jeep events with his family. He was also buddies with the family’s late dog, Brady.
Dave was a frequent blood donor and helped many through this gift. Some solace is given knowing that Dave was also able to give the gift of organ donation with his untimely passing.
