David Michael Powers

David Michael Powers, aka Mr. Fantastic, 64, beloved husband of Kristina (Tina) Powers and son of Lawrence Powers and Margaret (Von Wahlde) Powers of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away surrounded by family and friends after a very short and aggressive battle with cancer at 8:25PM on September 27, 2016. A man who wore many hats and touched many lives, he will best be remembered as a loving father, husband, grandfather, brother, son, father-in-law, uncle, entrepreneur, and true friend to anyone who was fortunate enough to have been graced by his presence. His compassionate and caring nature was easily recognized by anyone who met him and he will be greatly missed by many.

His pride and determination to make the lives of those surrounding him better were a testament to the power that one can have over the nuances of another’s life. These qualities, among the many others that defined him, have been instilled in those that knew him best and will be carried on in those lives that he touched. The world is now a little less without his presence, but more because he was in it as his legacy will endure. And that should be the wish of anyone to have graced this Earth.

Beloved husband of Tina Powers. Father of Troy (Stephanie), Shawn (Destiny), and Scott Powers. Step-father of Bryan (Mandy), Jamie (Darryl), and Jenifer (Josh). Grandfather of Moriah, Alexis, Raymond, James, Abbi, Evan, Mason, Caden, Nolan, Chloe, Colton. Brother of Tom (Diane), Rick (Debbie), Larry, Diane (Mark), Dan (Nancy), Kathy (Paul), Barb (Lee), and Tim (Gina). Also survived by mother-in-law Georgia Seifart and sister-in-laws, Pam (John) and Debbi (Jeff).

Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati Columbus Rd., West Chester, OH 45069, on Saturday (10/1), from 10 AM until time of funeral service at 12 Noon. Donations can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, Hospice of Cincinnati, Inc., P.O. Box 633597, Cincinnati, OH 45263-3597.
