David G. Uhlhorn

David Gerald Uhlhorn, 77, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on January 11, 2025. Always generous of time, radiating good humor and spirit, Dave’s passing is a deep loss to all who were blessed to know him. 

 Born May 15, 1947, in Cincinnati to Clemens, Sr. and Elizabeth (née Billing) Uhlhorn, he was proud to be in one of the first graduating classes at Aiken High School and later received degrees from both the University of Cincinnati and Xavier University. Making a career in property and retail management, through his work he developed expert skills and knowledge which he shared freely and generously, patiently mentoring and providing for others.

 Dave is survived by his cherished wife Jo (née Witte), whom he married in 1972, and their two sons, David Stephen (Caitlin Craft) and Robert (Bill Mikesell). Dave was very proud of his sons, recently expressing his enjoyment of “every moment” he spent supporting their growth and witnessing their achievements, as well as all the quality time he shared with them. He is also survived by his beloved grand-dogs Alfie, Bodhi, and especially Arlo, with whom he shared a special bond; many lifelong friends, relationships reflecting Dave’s gregarious good nature and inherent kindness; and extended family.

 Dave is predeceased by his parents and elder brother Clemens, Jr. (Betty).

 The family would like to thank the nurses and staff in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for their compassion and attentiveness.
