Dawn Renee Baker

Dawn Renee Baker (nee Delk), 47 years old, passed away at her Aunt’s home surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, March 20, 2021, after a courageous battle against cancer. She is the daughter of the late William Delk and Sandra Delk (nee Cline) of Richmond, IN. She is survived by the “love of her life” Chuck Penley along with siblings Debby and John Delk, stepchildren Rachel and Joshua Baker and many loving family and friends. The simplest pleasures in life brought joy to Dawn. She loved cooking and making special goodies for everyone around every holiday. She loved being in the Richmond High School band. Playing her beloved clarinet. She was very passionate about the 4H Organization because of her love for all creatures. Dawn was just pure at heart. Her sweet disposition and kind spirit would add a little sunshine to your day. Her infectious smile was contagious. Her battle strong and her faith in God never wavered. Let us continue to honor her legacy by living our lives to the fullest. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Hodapp Funeral Home 7401 Vine St., Carthage, Monday April 12th from 5PM until 7PM.
