Deborah “Debbi” Eling (née Collins)

Deborah “Debbi” Eling (née Collins) of West Chester, Ohio passed away at home on Tuesday, December 8 at the age of 66.
Debbi is survived by her husband, Greg; children, Adam and partner Jason (New York), Abby (Chris) Mays (West Chester) and Allison (Ben) Carlson (Nashville); grandchildren, Calle and Bree Mays. She is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara, and grandparents, Dorothy and Glen.
Debbi was born on August 12, 1954. She graduated from Princeton High School. Greg and Debbi were initially colleagues who met at their place of work, but it was not until after they married that she fulfilled her true ambition of being a stay-at-home mother to her three children. Her children remember her as an encouraging mother who taught them to be kind and polite while still living life to its fullest. She often said to them as they were growing up, “as long as your are not hurting yourself or others, just do what makes you happy.” More recently, it gave her great joy when her granddaughters, Callie and Bree, came into her life and she set about imparting this same wisdom and values to both of them.
The family has elected to have a small, private service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Family Fund of Hamilton County. This organization provides support to abused and neglected children.
