Diane Marie Deller

DELLER, Diane Marie, age 67, born Oct. 5, 1946, to the late William C. Deller and Dorothy L. Deller (nee Roettele), passed away Monday, January 13, 2014. Beloved sister of Gerry (Phyllis) Smith, Richard (Karen) Deller and David (Janet) Deller. Beloved aunt to David Smith, Cindy Smith, Lisa Smith, Derrick Smith, Bill King, John Deller, Michael Deller and Matthew Deller. Great aunt to MacKenzie, Reilly and Carter Deller, Olivia, Henry and ELeanor Smith and Jack Campbell. Diane was a 1964 graduate of Mt. Notre Dame High School, 1968 graduate of Our Lady of Cincinnati, Edgecliff, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She received her Masters of Education from the University of Cincinnati. She taught at Burton Elementary, Eastwood, Eastern Hills Elementary and Pleasant Hills and retired in 1999 after 3l years. Diane was a lifelong member of St. James of the Valley where she taught second grade class in PSR (Parish School of Religion) for almost 20 years. She was a member of the Prayer Shawl ministries, member and treasurer of the Retired Teachers Association, and a member of Clovernook Garden Club. She was an avid patron of the Cincinnati Broadway series and the Opera. Aunt Diane will be missed by her family and many friends. We wish to thank the nurses and entire staff at Veranda Gardens and also Vitas Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Diane. Visitation at St. James of the Valley Church, 411 Springfield Pike, Wyoming, Saturday from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vitas Hospice or St. Vincent de Paul.
