RENTSCHLER, Don Burger, of Cincinnati died on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at his home. He was 89. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, his children, Kay and Lew, and his grandchildren, James and Anna Rentschler. Don attended Purdue University and graduated from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland. He served as a naval officer in the Second World War. After the war he established a career as an engineer and sales manager with the Sporlan Valve Company. Don was an avid golfer and long time member of Clovernook Country Club. Good-natured and unashamedly extroverted, he will be remembered for his intellectual curiosity, high energy and engaging wit. A memorial service for Don Rentschler will take place in the auditorium at Maple Knoll Village on Saturday, March 26 at 11:00 am.
