Dora Mae Bradbury

Dora M. Bradbury, age 87, of Middletown, Ohio passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 21, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born May 8, 1935 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Ida Ruth (Miller) Faulkner and Dorell Wayne Faulkner.

Dora graduated from Sycamore High School in 1953 and then worked at AVCO as a switch board operator. She married David Bradbury on August 6, 1955. They lived in both West Chester and Middletown, Ohio while raising their two sons, Douglas and Dennis. Dora picked up milk from local farms for many years and retired from the family business.

Dora loved the outdoors, mowing grass, and tending to her flowers. She truly was “Dora the Explorer”. She loved square dancing and all the activities that went with it. Dora and Dave called the Oasis Church home. She served faithfully in the food pantry and other areas. Dora will certainly be missed and her memory cherished.

Dora was preceded in death by her parents, Ida and Dorell Faulkner; daughter-in-law, Sandi Bradbury; and sister-in-law, Linda Faulkner.

Dora will be missed by her loving husband, David; sons, Douglas C. Bradbury and Dennis R. Bradbury; grandchildren, Sarah, Brooke, and Lexi; great grandchildren, Carter and Klaire; and brother, Howard Faulkner and his daughter, Lori and Rob Rosenberger. Other family members: Michelle and Scott Brown and their children, Matthew and Marshall; Lisa Worley and her sons, Christopher and Corey; and Greg and Pepper Jackson and their children, Piper and Emerald. Special friends, Susan Dickson and Linda Maegly.

Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati Dayton Rd., Liberty Twp., OH 45044, on Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 9:30am until time of funeral service at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
