Dorothy Ernst

ERNST, Dorothy Claire (nee Meyer), beloved wife of the late Richard Ernst passed away Tuesday, November 25 at the age of 91. Devoted mother of Carol (John) Grinstead and Joan (Don Roll) Schraffenberger and loving grandmother to John (Sherry) Grinstead, Rick (Julie) Grinstead, Kathy (Bob) Heimbrock, Kim (Michael) Ackerman, Greg Grinstead, Dan (Lisa) Grinstead, Julie Schraffenberger, Keith (Lisa) Schraffenberger and Mark (Becky) Schraffenberger. Loving great grandma to 21 beautiful children and great-great grandma to 2, all who will miss her dearly. She was also a wonderful sister to the late Joseph Meyer and Ruth Bardo and is survived by sister Louise Holleran. Dorothy worked for 35 years until the age of 70 at Merrell Dow. She was an incredible seamstress and avid card player. More than anything, she touched the lives of others through her kind words and bright smile. Friends and family may gather at Good Shepherd Church, 8815 East Kemper Rd. on Monday, December 1. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m..
