Dorothy S. Wurzelbacher

It is with both a heavy heart and a sense of peace that we share the news of Dorothy Wurzelbacher's passing just three days after she joyfully celebrated her 91st birthday. Dorothy, affectionately known as Dot, is survived by her children Rick, Beth, Martha, and Tom along with their spouses, eight grandchildren, and her sister Lair Reis. Dot was the loving spouse of the late Richard T. Wurzelbacher, MD, mother to the late Nancy Wurzelbacher, and sister to the late Mick Schmitt. Dot was a devoted spouse and mother, a steadfast friend and a dedicated volunteer, making a lasting impact on both individuals and the community. Throughout her years, she remained actively engaged in her lifelong passions of deltiology (collecting postcards), genealogy, and sewing for Dress a Girl Around the World.  A memorial service to honor Dot's rich and meaningful life will take place on a Saturday, March 2 at 11 AM at the Twin Towers Life Enrichment Community Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be directed to The Freestore Foodbank, reflecting Dot's spirit of generosity and compassion for those in need. May Dot's legacy of love, kindness, and service continue to inspire us all.
