Douglas D. Larbes

Douglas D. Larbes, age 70, of Monroe, Ohio, died July 10, 2014. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 18th, 1944, to the late David and Rita Larbes. Douglas was a 1962 graduate of Purcell High School, and received his Industrial Management degree from the University of Cincinnati. He retired from General Electric after 39 years.
Douglas enjoyed golf, cards, vacationing, and spending time with family. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Fox, his childhood sweetheart of 48 years. Proud father of Tina (Chris) Wahl of Ferdinand, Indiana, Mike (Colleen) Larbes of Liberty Township, Ohio, Randy Larbes of Trenton, Ohio, and Chris (Jessica) Larbes of Fairfield Township, Ohio. Loving and generous grandfather to Luke, Jonah, Kate, Zach, McKenna, Willa, and step-grandchildren, Kori and Brianne, and two step- great-grandchildren. He is survived by his brother Greg (late Linda) Larbes, and sister Kathy (Barry) Hyrne, nieces Kim Lukens and Amy (Hyrne) Marks, and nephews Eric Hyrne and David Larbes. Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home 6410 Cincinnati-Dayton Rd. Liberty Twp., OH 45044 on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday at Our Lady of Sorrows, 330 Lebanon St., Monroe, OH 45050 at 10 a.m. and burial at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Montgomery, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Church.
