Dr. Frederick “Fred” J. McCarty, beloved husband of Rose McCarty (nee Doerflein). Loving father of Deborah McCarty, Diane McCarty, Greg McCarty and David (Jennifer) McCarty. Dear grandfather of Ava and Sophia. Brother of Norma Jean Horn, Theresa (Dean) Williams and Bernadette (Edsel) Duty. Preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Agnes (nee Fink) McCarty, and siblings: Kathleen McNaughton, Rose Shoemaker, Elizabeth Brundige, Rita Sanders, Robert McCarty, William McCarty and Patrick McCarty. Visitation will be held at the Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati-Dayton Rd., Liberty Twp., on Friday, November 3 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Visitation will also take place at the funeral home on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held St. Susanna Church, 616 Reading Rd., Mason, Saturday at 10 a.m. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, 644 Linn St. #1026, Cincinnati, OH 45203.
