THEOBALD, Earle Wagner, beloved husband of Marie (nee Corlett) Theobald. Loving father of Dennis (Cathleen Knoerl) Theobald. Dear grandfather of Kristen Braig, Jeffrey, Michael, and Patrick. Step-grandfather of Elizabeth Applegate, Peter Glenn-Applegate. Earle is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and siblings; Lenore Purse and Corrine Smith. Preceded in death by parents; Charles and Mary (nee James) Theobald, and siblings; Kenneth Theobald, Evelyn Bell, Adelaide Polk, Jack Theobald, Yvonne Wenig. Earle is a veteran of WWII, 83rd Infantry Div., with service in France, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg, and Germany. Landed in Normandy in June 1944 and fought Ardennes Forest and Battle of the Bulge; in his working life he was a skilled automobile mechanic who loved to watch NASCAR, other auto races, and was a voracious reader. Passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at age 99, four days before his 100th birthday. Services will be held privately.
