Edric Kai Mbayo

It is with profound sadness that the family of Edric Mbayo announces his passing on Thursday, December 1st, 2022, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Edric was twenty-seven years old and was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and kind and compassionate spirit. He was a loving son, brother, father, and friend to many.

Edric is survived by his parents, Kai, and Barbara Mbayo, as well as his younger sister, Edrica, and brother, Cedric. He will also be dearly missed by his favorite cousin Andrea, young daughter Kali and her mother, Markia, as well as his other daughter Jersey, all of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Edric leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and friends in the US, Canada, Belgium, England, France, Germany, Guinea, and Sierra Leone, including the M’bayo, Sillah, Anderson, Jusu, Sandy, Kargbo, Moody, Rogers, Sukutamba, Musa, Wager, Yamba, and Will families, among others.

A viewing will be held at the HODAPP funeral home located at 8815 Cinti-Columbus Road, West Chester, OH 45069, on Friday, December 09, 2022, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 1 p.m.  Interment will follow immediately after the service at the Landmark Memorial Gardens at 1600 Glendale Milford Road, Cincinnati, OH 45215.
