Edward J. Geiser was reborn to eternal life surrounded by his family on April 7, 2016, age 95. He was a devoted husband of 58 years to the late Edna (nee Schrauder), loving father of Mary (Steve) Lammert, Therese (Bob) Kenning, Frank (Beth) Geiser and Ed (Catherine) Geiser, and survived by 14 grandchildren. He was the loving son of Frank and Rosa Geiser (Nieman). He proudly served our country with honor in the U.S. Army during WWII, in combat with the 63rd Infantry Division in Europe on the front lines for 5 months through the Battle of the Bulge to end of the war. Awarded the Bronze Star for heroic action during the Battle of Stein am Kocher. He spoke often of how blessed he was to survive. He returned home to humbly live out his vocation of marriage and family, employed as a policeman, then served 36 years as the Auditor for the City of St. Bernard. Eddie’s love and devotion to his Catholic faith, family, and country were the great joys of his life. He influenced and touched many with his strong faith, gratefulness, happy and optimistic personality, and eagerness to help others. Eddie was a long time member of St. Clement Church, the Third Order Franciscans, the Catholic Kolping Society, and the F.O. Eagles. The family expresses their gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Bayley Place for the 6 years of senior care. Visitation Monday, April 11, 2016, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 3720 St Martin Place, Cincinnati, OH 42211, from 9:30 until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.
