In Loving Memory of Ed Murphy
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ed Murphy, a cherished father, adoring Pappy, beloved brother, and a dear friend to many.
Ed Murphy is survived by his loving children Jenna (Derek) Longshore, Josh (Jenna) Murphy, Brady Murphy, and Evan Murphy. He was a proud Pappy to Lucy, Griffin, Julia, and Jamie. Ed was a cherished brother to Mike, Mark, Kim, Jeff, Lori, and Tina. Additionally, he leaves numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and lifelong friends who will all deeply feel his absence. Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Joan Murphy.
After graduating from Roger Bacon High School, Ed pursued his passion for football at Ohio University. Later, he became an integral part of the family garage door business, eventually establishing Ed Murphy Door Company.
Ed Murphy had a heart filled with pride and love for his family. He was a lifelong sports enthusiast, finding joy in watching games and sharing in the achievements of his children and grandchildren. Ed's genuine and welcoming nature made him a friend to all, and he will be deeply missed by the countless lives he touched.
As we say our goodbyes, let us remember Ed for the love and warmth he brought into our lives. May his spirit live on in the cherished memories we hold, and may he find eternal peace.
Memorial Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati Dayton Rd., Liberty, Township, Ohio, 45044, on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 10 AM until time of funeral service at 12 noon.
