McDERMOTT, Elaine Ann, age 69, of Cookeville, TN, passed away Saturday morning, July 20, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born November 15, 1949, in Erlanger, KY, to the late Bernard Lawrence and Ann Behler Tobergte.
Elaine was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Cookeville, TN.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years Gerald McDermott whom she married April 25, 1970, at St. Clement Church in St. Bernard, OH; two sons Tim (Stacia) McDermott and Shawn (Jennifer) McDermott, both of Cookeville, TN; sister Mary Kammer of Cincinnati; two brothers Don (Carla) Tobergte and Bernie (Patti) Tobergte, both of Cincinnati; and six grandchildren, Annie Kate, Eva, Tyler, Kyla, Amanda and Samantha McDermott.
Services were held in Cookeville and Elaine's family will receive friends at St. Clement Church, 4536 Vine St., Carthage, Wednesday, July 24, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.
