Elizabeth "Betsy" Ann Moriarty Gates Black

Elizabeth “Betsy” Ann Moriarty Gates Black, 74, of Cincinnati and native of Ironton, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday Feb. 19^th, 2019.  A mother of two boys Jay R. Gates and Kristopher C. Gates, grandmother of Elizabeth, Sean, JJ and Fitz, great grandmother to Victoria as well as a loving stepmother to John “JP” Black, his wife Kim and two boys Andrew and Phillip.  Elizabeth will be joining her husband John O. Black also a Native of Ironton and her High School sweetheart who died one week prior in an accidental fall.  There is a joint service in Cincinnati, Friday March 1st at Calvary Episcopal Church ,3766 Clifton Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45220 at 12 noon.  As well as a  joint memorial service Saturday March 2^nd, at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph Church, 905 S 5th St, Ironton, OH 45638.
