Hess, Elizabeth R. (Betty Anne), age 89, died on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 surrounded by family. She was born in Schenectady, New York to John L. and Elizabeth C. Richards. Beloved wife of late Paul Joseph for 59+ years. Loving mother of Paul Jr, Marianne (John) McCarty, Maureen (Andy) Nagler, Tish (Bill) Marquardt, Tom (Amy), Kathy (Andy) Butz, Jim (Kerry), Eileen Pasquarette. Betty Anne will also be lovingly remembered by her 20 grandchildren; Whitney, Amber, Jack (Irma), Andy, Brian, Colin, Andrew, Katie, Elliott, Kelly, Reed, Sophie, Henry, Drew, Ben, Kelsey, Zoe, Tori, Nick, Logan and great granddaughter Vera. Sister of Dr. John T. Richards (Rose). Betty Anne was a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the College of Saint Rose. She dedicated her life to the faith development of her family and church community as was evident by the outpouring of love from all those whose lives she touched. Nothing was more important to Betty Anne than her Catholic faith and family. She accepted everyone for whom he/she was. Betty Anne had a profound way of making everyone she met feel valued and welcome. She was one of the kindest people you could ever meet and will be greatly missed. Visitation at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6041 Hamilton Avenue, College Hill, 45224 on Sunday, July 8, from 4-7 PM and also at St. Vivian Church, 7600 Winton Rd, Finneytown, 45224 on Monday, July 9 from 9:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM.
